IF YOU ALREADY OWN A VEHICLE and want to start driving with Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare platforms in NYC, renting a TLC plate is a smart and cost-effective alternative to leasing a TLC-ready car.

With my program, you can keep driving your own car while meeting all the requirements set by the Taxi & Limousine Commission.

I’ll guide you through the steps — handling the necessary paperwork, processing the transactions with TLC and DMV, scheduling your vehicle inspection, and I COVER ALL THE SPECIFIED FEES.

I’ll also walk you through important details like co-registration, contracts, and weekly payments so you know exactly what to expect before getting on the road.

 

REQUIREMENTS to qualify, you’ll need:

  • A valid TLC Driver’s License
  • A valid vehicle title in your name (rental or leased vehicles are not eligible)
  • A vehicle that can pass a TLC inspection

 

PRICING & INSURANCE

  • EV Plate rental cost: $45 per week (NOT INCLUDING TLC INSURANCE)

 

  • Gas/Hybrid Plate Rental cost: $70 per week (NOT INCLUDING TLC INSURANCE)

 

  • WAV Plate Rental Cost: $35 per week (NOT INCLUDING TLC INSURANCE)

 

IMPORTANT POLICIES:

  • TLC liability insurance is under either my Company name or my name. However, you are responsible for the car payments, maintenance, and TLC insurance. I am only responsible for the two-year FHV license, and DMV registration.

 

  • $500 Deposit when you drop off the car, $500 deposit when you pick up the car with new plates. This is less than the cost of an FHV License and DMV Registration. NO EXCEPTIONS, DEPOSITS WILL BE FULLY REFUNDABLE AFTER ONE YEAR OF ON-TIME PAYMENTS

 

  • ALL DMV/TLC Fees included for free (includes annual DMV Registration, DMV Emission Inspections, and bi-annual FHV License renewal and inspection)

 

  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE AND SIGN A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM

 

WHAT I COVER:

  • FHV Diamond (Blue FHV License, includes bi-annual TLC inspection)
  • Annual DMV Registration
  • DMV Emissions Inspection

 

WHAT YOU COVER:

  • You provide the car, of course
  • TLC Insurance, all Maintenance, and all Accessories, after all, it’s your car

 

Requirements

  • Meet the minimum age to drive
  • Have at least one year of driving experience
  • Have a Valid TLC License and at least one year experience driving with TLC Bases
  • Clear a background check

Documents

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of residency
  • Copy of Vehicle Title of vehicle you wish to use in your name
  • Insurance if you plan to drive your own car
